    Hey buddy,
had this problem, tis probably stuck down with some adhesive between the frame and the top section.

Just keep tugging and itll unstick.

    Cheers

Use a steel rule to part the foam pad from the metal frame!

Do you know about the pins that stick out of the pad down into the frame up near the window.

They do tend to stick to the steel frame after 30 or so years sitting there undisterbed.

I cracked mine trying to get it out, so DON'T unless you need to. It will just cause problems because you cant get them from toyota anymore.

firstly make sure the whole edge is seperated from the steel like cool1 said. then starting in the middle, genlty lift it up just enough so the pins come through the steel, and put something in the gap to chock it up. work your way to the edges. once all pins are free, pull forward on the pad (lifting up on the lip is much more likely to crack it).

this may be a long shot but if you are planning to take your windscreen out in the near future, take the dash out after. its about 1000 times easier without the screen in the way.
