OK, took the drive out there, got there at 12ish and there was no one around

Here's a few pictures of what awaits.

you turn off of the Old Princes Highway through the gate, as you can see there is a lot of roadworks going on but the road itself is find, they are just widening it.

Here's a map of the area, if you stay to the right you drive over a narrow bridge that takes you to the BBQ area down by the Dam, there is another BBQ area up to the left on top of the hill but there was a party on there while I was there so could not take a look at that one, but the one by the Dam looks pretty nice anyway.

And as you can see, dogs are welcome (for Kirsty and Jesse I know this is important) but they need to be kept on a lead.

Here are the car parks at the end of the road, there is heaps of parking, you can see 3 of the carpark areas here, where I am parked is the bottom one, there is one to the left of the picture which is the one seen in the following shot and another further up the hill. There is also more parking behind where I am standing for the picture as well.

Here's the BBQ area, heaps of seating available, so you won't need camping chairs unless you really want them. There are 4 BBQ plates provided as well, so if it's as quiet as it was today, you'll have no issues at all finding somewhere to cook.

Finally, some shots of the Dam which is a very short stroll from the lowest carpark and the BBQ area.

    Hi,

    Looks great. Nice recon work!

I love dams, but I worry they will crack and collapse, so I may bring along a bag of cement and a trowl. If I find any holes or cracks I'm gonna fill them up. I might bring a few tubes of that silicon sealer stuff too.

Hey this looks heaps better for the Newie and Syd guys and is still on way south for us Canberrans too! Im desperately trying to get the Classics to the trip so not sure on numbers. it takes forever to get the Classics up for for a big cruise like this on short niotice so will cross fingers the celicas and weather are kind to us.

Will try to get all of us to get to Homebush just prior to the cruise start then we can cruise with you guys. Since there are BBQs already there I wont bring the Chuckwagon this time Rod. Dont forget all are welcome to join in on the cruise, so hassle your Classic Celica mates to turn up.

Keep talking it up guys so we can pull some good numbers.
    Cheers Mitch
PS...dont forget your Cameras and CBs!

There's nothing stopping you coming along. Although the cruise is ostensibly for Classic Celicas there has been and will be other vehicles coming along, just to have a look at these old beauties and for the fun of the drive, and to meet people.

So, come along. Bring a camera and take some nice pics, and get a chance to see these lovely old school cars up close and personal.

JayCar, Dick Smith or someother simlilar shops are usually good. You can get a cheapy one for around $35 I think. But it's better spend a little more and get one with a little more range
