bump? anyone interested?
we had a few interested folk at our last club meeting ... will be a good night for racing as most folks will be busy watching football.
cheers,
charles.
Wednesday 21 May is State of Origin round one... so it would be a good time for a Test-n-Tune night
Gates open at 5pm so we'd suggest being there when the gate opens
Is at Willowbank Raceway
$36 inc. driver and a passenger
You need a helmet with the safety cert sticker intact and neck-to-knee clothing.
Please drop a note here or on our club forum so we know who is racing and spectating!
If we're organised, we should be able to get folks racing heads-up instead of random line-ups as per previous.
cheers,
Charles.

Adam, yeah I think there is a TnT on the 3rd one too?
I'm trying to sort my car out for this (the JZZ12)...
Writing software for my boost cut thing, then I need to test it etc! Not enough time!

Better post up my efforts. For those that are a bit confused with my location then have a look at this thread. After dropping the crossmember off and not having anything to do (not really interested in watching the state of origin) I was told that a few guys would be heading out for this.
Ok, the car in question is a Toyota Aurion AT-X (base model) and felt a bit out of place . At least there were a few Lancers and base Falcons that weren’t exactly fast (16s). I knew it had 200killerwasps but I didn’t think it would break into the 15s – or even pull out a low 15! And with a 1590kg kerb weight, that’s not bad at all. Motor has timed a Sportivo at 14.8 with same section tyres so not much difference comparing times there and Wheels could only manage 15.3!
Hadn’t given it a good launch before so was guessing – I’m in the right lane for both.
1st - tried the first with the foot brake but didn’t stall it that much for fear of sliding forward – don’t think it even kicked in traction control.
2nd - stalled it harder on the foot brake and got a bit of wheelspin/bounce at the start along with flashes of TC all through first.
One more and I feel I could’ve got it right for a 14 but they packed up early and didn’t have my own helmet didn’t help.
Thanks to wilbo666 and thechuckster for lending me your helmets.
