    Default Rn90 2wd Hilux to 1uzfe - MORE PICS UP 14/08/2008

    Test fit -

Picked up the motor from local Importer, hacked and chopped loom.

Celsior front sump motor fitted with Castle Main Rod Shop 2WD Hilux engine mounts.

I could not believe how well these off the shelf mounts worked! Someone has done the maths!!!
Passenger side - Stock Hilux 22R mounts with 2WD CRS custom off shelf mounts

Driver side - Stock Hilux 22R mounts with 2WD CRS custom off shelf mounts

Sump - Steering arm fouls on the sump reducing the overall lock to lock on the steering, but still turns left to right adequately, will need to modify the sump eventually.

Handbrake cable housing - The head/cover just hits on the handbrake calbe housing.

There in another modle hilux that has this housing on interior side of firewall.
    Booster - clears by about a 1cm!

Brake line - opposite side clears with ease

Had to make up spacers for the sway bar to clear.

Pictures to come of spacers, but is just 4mm plate used as spacer underneath the sway bar mount on the chassis and 4 new longer bolts

Used Crown Auto box A340 mounted with CRS 2WD Hilux auto box mount.
    Pic's up soon!
I got Crown box because of the slip yoke tail shaft, and intended to use the separate Crown ECT hoping I could simply wire it up separate with microtech ECU........
I was wrong...Got around having to use the crown ECT altogether.
I had Sideshow of the forums to make me a manulized shifting Auto Unit, its just basic relays with a loom, it worked out ok, less hassle then trying to wire in the ect.

Slip yoke tail shaft completed and fitted. Daren at Driveline Services
Archerfield looked after me on this one Thanks!

Used an alloy Radiator from a 300 ZXTT Auto mounted with 12" thermo, sits on 86 all day long.

Microtech LT10S with X4 ignition module wired in by me. I have never wired
in anything like this before, but thanks to some help on the forums its all completed now.

Some pics up. The A340 Crown box turned out to be really second hand.
Not to sure whats going on there, slips O/D and 3rd, some times doesn't pick up reverse.
Got a replacement one coming tomorrow.
    Alternator is suspect too.

    More pics to come.

I use a GA70 shift box with my Motec no worries, should be able to make it work with some fiddling.

It works, the box is fully manulized. I had no trouble for about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks, and then it started to slip. Might be the pressure solenoid? Don't know till I get it out.

Yeah, I do! What pic's do you need?
I can take some more of specific areas if you want.
I'm In Brisbane, If you local and need a hand, let me know, always keen to help out.
I've got spares laying around if you need too, wiring loom plugs and plastic's, starter motors, exhaust logs blah blah.

    You going auto or manual?

i'm in brissy too and am doin a 93 extra cab, what exhaust manifolds did you use? Did you go single or dual? I was told by CRS themselves that they only do mounts for their sump only and the gearbox mounts are for orig manual only, are these all new items? Have you had it dynoed and if so how did it go? I plan on leaving the engine mostly stock maybe extractors from someone and then just use NOS when i take it to test/tune at willowbank, while still retaining fairly good economy during the week. Is yours a daily driver? What sort of economy do you get, sorry for all the questions just very interested asit seems you,ve done exactly what i'm planning even down to the parkbrake. I'm doing the big BA FALCON rotor and R33-GTST caliper front brake upgrade and have found QFM do quite a good price on pads for these if your interested,SCOTT WOODFORD BRAKE SERVICES 0432630149,he even delivers for free.

Be careful with having NOS equipment fitted in QLD. Most states will let you have the equipment fitted but not the bottle for on the street but QLD is a major defect even if it's just the equipment.
Petrol is for washing parts, alcohol's for drinking but NITRO IS FOR RACING!

I used custom 4-2-1 extractors, but the stock exhaust logs would have worked.
I got the CRS mounts about 6 months ago, make sure you specify 2WD manual or auto.
    No Dyno yet, still saving.
Stock motor should be good for ~ 200-220hp with better economy than 22r carb motor.
Brakes are stock and work ok.
