RP: don't worry, I'll be in the same boat. Linden will LOVE laughing at me messing up launch after launch. trying to get traction when my huffer comes on is.. well, slightly easier than it will be for you

That is to say, akin to trying to give birth to a water buffalo through your nose

Ive even been thinking of getting there early, and parking the car until the 1st lot of passes, then lining up! That 1st pass is always a pisser!

The more cars, the busier it is, the more problems there are likely to be, the less runs you get in

once you have paid, you cant get the moeny back, no matter how many runs you do.

average i would say is 3 runs. thats turning up and being 1st out on the track.

That is farked. Hardly worth a 6 hour round trip plus all the hassles of tow vehicles etc if that's the case. How many cars was that with Blake? Last two times i've been there it was no problem to get 5 passes and enough time to have a break for some food. If i'd stayed in the car 6 passes would have been no drama.

And the government says there's not enough support for motorsport Seems the numbers at WSID now prove otherwise.

If you don't get any runs in you get a credit for racing next week at no charge although as soon as you've had your first pass that is out the window.

On a packed out night expect at least 3 runs still as they can't close the track until the majority of people have had three runs. Often on a quiet night you'll get 5, 6 or more.

Also remember that technically you need to run a complete exhaust (as in no diff dumpers or side pipes) although if the car isn't too loud you can often get through scrutineering (on the low) anyway. Enter at your own risk and don't come crying back if they don't let you through, I warned you!

Any other WSID related questions hit me up.

Also remember to bring long sleeved clothes, helmet, a tyre pressure gauge and your rego papers.

Blakey, did you have any issues when you showed up on the wednesday nights with your side pipe?

    Jase,

My side exiting exhaust is engineer approved as Road legal and was on there the last couple of times the car ran at WSID with no problems at all. I would expect noise to be more of there concern.

As i said Jase, technically you need a COMPLETE exhaust although this isn't enforced very often unless the vehicle is quite noisy. There's a DB limit as well. Just be nice to them and hope for the best.
