Default Phillip Island Historic Meeting March 7-9

    Hi all

Anyone interested in doing a run down to the Phillip Island Historic race meet this weekend?

Lots of awesome historic racing action, including Group A and Group C which I am pretty keen to see.

Sadly I couldn't see any Toyotas on the entry list but it will still be worth the drive.

I am thinking I will go down Sunday for the day and taking the mighty Ke10 for a run, let me know if you want to cruise down there.

    Cheers

Yeah will do when i can get my phone to work with the computer, but until then i have found some footage on youtube i have good shots as it was right in front of me but the vid i have is only the damage after the accident happened. It was about 3min after we got there and hadnt had the chance to get the camera out.

Awwww fuck... They got messed up. What a waste of two beautiful cars. I have a soft spot for both RX2's and BMW 2002's.

yeah tell me about it that was the first time i had seen the whole thing(i shut my eyes after the first hit)the guy in the bmw was taken by the helicopter. It was for "safety checks" they said over the PA.
Ever since seeing Rusty French`s 935 porsche its 850odd hp and 850kg i have found a big soft spot for the long distance(le mans style) beasts and they were lucky enough to have the 917/30 canam car in the pits and doing slow laps 1200hp flat 12 twin turbo and WOOOOW the noise that came out of that car was unbelieveale.

Some great photos there, a friend of mine purchased a ski boat of the guy that owned the green rx2. imagine to my surprise as we drive into there driveway and it greets us, he says at worst they will prob be able to salvage the rollcage, most interior and wheels at best include the motor and gbox and front stuts. its a mess.

it had broken a diff and was running and reving before the acco, Ben the rx2 driver walked away and 2002 driver has broken ribs and ruptured spleen.
