1ggte AFM

I've picked up a gen3 1ggte for a conversion into a corolla but it didnt come with an AFM.

I cant seem to find a 1ggte afm for cheap and i've read around that you can use a 7m-ge AFM but can you use a 5m-ge AFM? i happen to have one of them lying around.

If I can use it can anyone forsee any problems that might occur by using a different AFM?

or if someone has a 1ggte afm they want to get rid of pm me

Are all the gen's AFMs the same?

I have everything off a Gen2 1GGTE available besides the bare motor itself.

All gen AFM's are the same part number, but its the final adjustment of the thing on the car just before it leaves the factory, that makes every AFM 'different'. There are plenty of threads on adjusting the AFM spring on this forum or on the web. You could also consider fitting a sender signal bender to really tune your AFM to suit the motor - check out Digital Fuel Adjuster on the AutoSpeed website.
