They have to accrew enough for nose reconstructions as well as feeding his mime family. The dont talk much so they never need much water for their dry mouths.

Awesome info.. well pretty much what I'm looking for is a late 60's Crown.. I'm really keen on a certain 67 that I saw, but theres alot of interest in it and will most likely be sold by the time I sell my current car.. fingers crossed it's not!

What I'm looking for in an engine is.. nice sense of humour, career driven.. haha...

The main things that I'm looking for in the engine is fuel economy and standard power. i dont know if 'standard power' makes sense.. but I want to comfortably go 100kms down the parkway.

Thanks everyone for information, I'm still used to the RB25's and everything Skyline! haha.. I'm learnding!

    I've found a 1967 Toyota Crown which I'm picking up on thursday/friday.

I'm sorta nervous about the whole thing.. the dude still has the car ad on carsales and I'm still waiting for the chick who bought my car, to give me the cash.. she expects it to be wednesday. and now im just stressing that it aint gonna happen.. oh im such a girl.

I'm also nervous about the drive BACK from Dapto to Canberra. The seller said that it runs well and drove it back from sydney last week and has driven to Canberra on a few occasions. And.. column shift?! So.. where do they put the cruise control lever?

Well hopefully everything pans out nicely and by the end of the week I'll be napping in the benchseats.

Oooh, I thought I added the pics..? Mustn't have linked it properly.. or at all.

But yes, Gav has supplied the link. It was a toss up between that one and the 1969 deluxe, but the owner of the deluxe was interested in a straight swap with my car.. I was really interested, but also wanted some cash so I could get into any maintainence or service I'm gonna have to do. But personally, I like the shape of the 67 compared to the deluxe and also... blue interior..
    Unfortunately, no ventian blinds. DAngit!

At least that gets you the wider engine bay so a 1UZ is an option for engine swap.

You could put a 1UZ in there but would a biggish job....rack and pinion steering conversion, tranny tunnel mods, heater motor and box modifications, etc. Well, that was what I had to do anyway.

You could try these guys for blinds.....www.autocables.com.au

Thanks, but it's pretty rough. The photos really cover up how shitty it looks.

I did most of the work myself. Including farming out the rack and pinion conversion, I'd conservatively estimate it at 7K, including shockers, springs, Hilux LSD and 4 wheel disc brake conversion (but if I added up the receipts and there was another 2K in it, I wouldn't be surprised). The guys that have seen it up close can attest that it is very rough and needs at least that spent on it again.

I think a 5 or 6MG would be a good motor for him and stick it on Gas ,all a straight bolt in affair and easy ,even bolt up to the factory overdrive 3 speed colum manual ( if our lucky enough for a delux) great reliable motor with a bit of get up and go .

I'm selfish and I've hijacked a few threads

Not too sure about Thursday night, I could possibly be on the way BACK from picking the car up. UPDATE, the girl who said would buy my car hasnt got the money from the bank yet, so hopefully on the weekend I'll have it down. Thankfully, the guy who I'm buying for has been ok with it. But I'm sure he's swearing and throwing things around once the call ends.

I've been researching prices of engines and have SSS Automotve (i think) have a 1UZGE 'package' for around 2k? Engine, transmission, ECU.. is that a decent price? I've called other places and they usually sell the front cut itself for about that or more?
