is there anyway to get around this? is there enough clearance for the motor be mounted 2inches further back? im using a w57 from an ra60 at the moment. in an ma61. i guess using an ma70 shifter fork and shifter housing if i could find one. i just converted my ma61 to manual using a w57 from a ra60 dont really want to have to buy another gearbox.

As peewee said, but a custom sump will cost you a lot more than a new box! You'll also face issues with the headers, heater hoses...etc. The configuration isn't ideal (with the motor 50mm forward) but it's by far the best of the practical options, and it makes the car a lot easier to work on! Otherwise there's always the JZ option. If you're trying to keep the cost and difficulty down, I strongly suggest following the beaten path, peewee put a lot of work into making it all fit, and I don't think it could be done much better without mucho fabrication.

Does anyone know where I can get the DXFs still? I don't think Ed has been around for ages. I bought the DXF for the 1UZ W58 adaptor on V-Eight, but haven't gotten anything yet.
