As peewee said, but a custom sump will cost you a lot more than a new box! You'll also face issues with the headers, heater hoses...etc. The configuration isn't ideal (with the motor 50mm forward) but it's by far the best of the practical options, and it makes the car a lot easier to work on! Otherwise there's always the JZ option. If you're trying to keep the cost and difficulty down, I strongly suggest following the beaten path, peewee put a lot of work into making it all fit, and I don't think it could be done much better without mucho fabrication.
