yes i have and its ten not funs.

i put a gx71 diff in my mz10 and not its not the boltin everyone believes (maybe if the whole cradle etc was purchased then it might).

mods to xmember where needed and custom driveshafts and tailshaft.

when i get sick of it im going to graft a z20 rear under just for shits and giggles (me getting the shits while everyone else giggles)

    cheers

There was some discussion of this on the celicasupra forums, some guy put an MA70 subframe in an MA61. Looked like a whole lot of work just to get a bigger diff though.

You'd want to have a crapload of power to justify this sort of thing, F series diffs are well tough!

while im a huge fan of the F series diffs the main reason i went to a GX71 was cause it had an aftermarket 2way in it and was rediculously cheap, the extra strength would also make me feel more at ease as it will go thru life being tortured, and having something that not many others have makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

the reason i want to put an *a7# / *z2# rear in is for more consistent susp angles, increased adjustability and a stronger rear end in general, while i understand its a shiteload of work i have put an R33 rear cradle into an R31 b4 so i know roughly what im getting into and luckily i have the tools / skills required to do the job properly,
ill keep you informed but i doubt it will happen for another year or so.

    cheers

    yep,
common as rocking horse shit but you may have luck on yahoo.jp try to get a whole rear cradle if you wnat a bolt in affair (that way you wont have to stuff around with driveshafts and the like and there would be minimal modding)

If you have a look in the conversions section, you will see where user jzk25 (or similar) grafted a big fuckoff Nissan diff into an MX73. It will give you an idea of what is required.

    Link 4 you.

the only problem i can see (that they may have rectified anyway) is that there is no control of the swingarm Xmember angles as there are only 2 bolts holding it in.

this could be cured by bracing the xmember to the rear diff support but would need to be well thought out b4 beginning on the conversion.

also check prices for resplining driveshafts, custom flanges and tailshaft also.

    cheers

I dont think tail shaft should be to much of a problem but not to sure on cost of drive shaft resplining. i have lined up a g series diff to have a play around with. Its only an idea at this stage but i will see what comes of it.

Is your current F series an lsd? If so, how much would you be after, and would you separate the centre?
    Thanks
