Default transplanting from one KE to another

    Hi
I have a 4AGZE powered KE35 Corolla, and it's a little worse for wear. The body isn't the best, so I've been thinking about transplanting the driveline/brakes into another one, or something similar.

I am going to do some asking around later this week, but I was wondering if anyone here would be able to give me a reasonable ballpark figure for taking what's running (and was once registered) in one car, and putting it into another. I would be wanting to get it engineered and ready for use as a daily.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Gerald

    can anyone give any input?

I suppose that what I am asking is how much work needs to be performed on the actual car, other than moving the parts from one to the other?

In your experience, what would you envisage the labour for moving these parts from one car to another to be? If you are a mechanic yourself, what would you be charging for such a job? I don't have much experience with a spanner, is it something I could attempt myself?

    Thanks

Hey buddy jump into the dedicated ke thread (in general car discussion) us KE heads will be able to help you.

I would say definetly have a go yourself. Find yourself a good mech mate and get him to help .

I built my ke30 with NO previous Mech knowledge other than good old toymods. Cost wise. around 4000 to do a simple exchange of parts. Unbolt move bolt.

if the old car was engineered.. maybe have a chat to that engineer regarding transferring the cert for a rebody of some sorts.. no idea if it is possible or not, but worth a try.
