Default ST162, Slipping out of gear

    Ey all,

Yesterday I changed the gearbox in my celica, as the old gearbox would not go into 3rd and was VERY crunchy in all gears.

The 'new' box was a freeby off the forums, but it seems it has issues as well.

It shifts great into all gears, up or down, but in 2nd and 3rd it seems to slip out, I have to physically hold the shifter in 2nd or 3rd to keep it in those gears.

What could be the problem? has anyone experenced this before?

Ive put new dex3 ATF in it, linkages seem fine (they worked on the old box...).
Its a PITA to change boxes, but is that the only cheap option left?

    Cheers
