I know this is a massive thread revival, but does anyone have an archive of Andy's wiring instructions? Every single swap guide I've seen so far just links to his work and now that it's down it's a big thing missing from an otherwise incredibly comprehensive guide.

Edit: I'm slowly piecing it together using the internet archive's way back machine. I'll rehost myself when it's done.

Ugh looks like that link I posted earlier is down again, I'll rehost the file on my own server some time soon and update the link. Meanwhile...

I notice in this guide that the 5ME oil pressure switch for the warning light is moved over to the 7M.. is this necessary? There are no other useful points to hook the oil light up to on the stock 7M block?

Always use the oil pressure switch that came with the engine.
If you've got a 7MGTE with an oil pressure gauge sensor, then just use the 5ME, it will be close enough. But it you have a 7MGTE or 7MGE switch, use that.

Remove the oil pressure gauge sensor and replace it with an oil pressure switch.

Reuploaded the wiring guide: 5M to 7MTGE MA61 Wiring Guide.zip

Edit: moved the file over to dropbox because google was being weird about .zip files.
