I've just received an email back from CAMS which reads:

Members Services can be contacted on 1300-653-529. A girl by the name of Sheryl-lee looks after competitors, she is the best person for you to get in contact with.

If it is the licence I am thinking off, then I understand that that fee will be deducted from the licence costs. A level 2 Speed licence is $95 and a Level 2 Non-Speed is $50.

I just have to find some time to call them now.......

Just a reminder to everyone, that in order to use your CAMS licence, you need to be a member of a CAMS affiliated car club.

You may also need to be a member in order to apply for one (don't quote me on that one though)

TCC.net accepted everyone entered into the nationals event as a day member to the club allowing you to run, but obviously you will need to find a car club to join (for example,. our TCC.net annual membership fee is $40) for future events.

Just got back from a great weekend at the Skylines Australia Forum "Texikhana" event at Sutton Rd Driver Training Center in Canberra.

Had an awesome day on the skidpan there and the "back track" which is a 2 km loop of closed simulated country road - on which they had a sort of sprint / time attack event.

Grant and Dave - Ill gather as much info as I can and pass it on - great venue, great events, and a lot of potential. A very interesting long term option.
