I think i've seen this covered before, but i did a search and couldn't find it.
Anyone got any ideas which G series diff flanges fit an F series diff? Just planning to upgrade my tailshaft and wouldnt mind getting some bigger pinions on the tailshaft ends.

Auto MZ12's have a G series diff flange, with an F series diff...
Cross referencing the MZ12 part number came up with a fair few results (on common cars!) if I recall when I did it a while back!
You might be able to simply use one of them!

haha norbie that's an interesting method to get the bigger tail shaft happening - has it created any driveline vibration or balance issues?
Wilbo, any idea what that part number is, or what cars they may be? I'd love to get my hands on something to try, short of going for norbie's idea...
i got quoted on a hilux diff flange brand new from toyota for 125... but again just worried about the spline issues (the part needs to be brought in so i don't really want to get them to bring the part in only to find out it doesnt fit!)

just grab the removable flange off an MX83 cressida tailshaft. its what holds the centre bearing in place then just a quick spinup in a lathe to move the dust seal back and bolt it back together.
if i remembered the exact measurement to machine id tell you but unfortunately i forgot.
took like 5mins tops so it wont be too expensive.
i have to do whatthes later this week so if you havn't sorted it by then ill let you know what it is.

Nah nothing of the sort. The flange has a small diameter and low mass so it would have to be way out of round before it caused any noticeable issues, and this was turned down on a lathe so it's perfectly round.

That is a pretty interesting idea, now that i think about it - i've got the welder, but no lathe to turn it on though.
Any idea of g series supra diffs (i.e. jza80's) fitting into ma61's?
I know that's going a big step further from the original question, but i guess everything is on the cards.
Am going to ring around some wreckers to see if they've got mz12 diffs though i don't like my chances. Hopefully be able to confirm something?!

Hard / a lot of work...and I thought jza80's had A or B series (not G...), but I'm not too up on that...

What I suggested was looking up the MZ12 part on the EPC and cross referencing it, from memory the same part was used on lots of common things, i.e. MX83, MA70 etc? I don't have the EPC at work so can't check atm
Another option is that is maybe possible to get a conversion uni that lets you use the F series flange...?

Sorry, i think you're right about the supra diff - my bad on the codes..
just called my old dealership and got a new bloke who wouldn't give me the part code after looking it up for me.. what a waste of time..
they quoted $153 retail, in stock in australia - now it's a matter of double checking against anyone who's got one to see if they're interchangeable/ right bolt spacing..
Anyone want to lend me their MZ12 diff flange for about an hour?

spline is the same and uses the correct pcd and 10mm bolt holes as G series, thats what i had to get in the rolla as it had an F series centre but the guys that did the shaft couldnt get the correct yoke to suit the F diff and still run big unis.
the one you need is the one that holds the centre bearing together.

I've got a 4wd Hilux tailshaft centre bearing flange as a diff flange on my F series. It was the drilled to suit the uni's I am using

Managed to score this shaft for free from work, not sure if it will fit.. But for the price (free) it's worth a try.
It's the shaft from an ln106 hilux, plan on pulling this flange out and testing it...
There were a couple of diffs around too, but i thought off the top of my head this one looks most similar to what i need...
