Answer to my own question, ST205 rod/piston setup might be even too close to Beams ones...
I have to measure the true volume of piston "dish" later

    http://koti.phnet.fi/crash/Beams/Pis...oto-0286_1.jpg

Left is SXE10 Beams piston/rod and right we have ST05 piston/rod.

As you can see, Beams piston sits even lower in block, but has small dome, as ST205 piston is higher in edges, but has small dish... Small differences in valve cuts.

ST205 rod/piston diameters might be nice combo for hi-cr turbo applications with minor mods

This is true and measured today.

So with ST205 rods and stock ST205 pistons i measured 9.5cc dish and with SXE10 pistons and rods i measured actually more volume. It was 11cc dish on them.

    Few raw calculations:

Stock ST205 parts with 3mm gasket CR is 9.3400:1

Stock ST205 parts with 2mm gasket CR is 10.235:1

Stock ST205 parts with 1mm gasket CR is 11.345:1

But we have to remember that valve reliefs need some attention and final piston volume cant be measured yet.
Anyway, with any stock CR aftermarket ST205 piston i can manage to have desired CR by selecting the right head gasket.

I think the 2mm gasket and sone gentle touch of grinder to the pistons would be my choise.

^^^ totally agree. Stock 205 metal gasket is 1.2mm anyways isn't it? With a bit of valve relief work in the head and the mild piston touch up leaving you with a nice 10:1

keep us posted on results, should be a screamer.

beams head gasket is different to the st205 head gasket as altezza 3sge motor is rwd and st205 is fwd different holes in different cylinders and vvti oil hole will be missing as well

Yes, seems that ST205 gasket cant be modified to suite Beams, and so i have to lower cr by adding more dish to piston, if i cant find thicker gasket.

dunno if it helps anyone but i went with eagle rods and arias pistons for my beams turbo, 10:1 comp.

tells you something about the tuners you visit and they cringe at that compression turbocharged, it will be fine with the GT35 im going to run, nice big turbo will help keep intake temps down so who cares.

stock beams rod and piston far left, (blacktop)

It sure helps if you tell us the rod and piston specs.

Same length rod as stock beams or same as ST205?
And what did they cost and where are they available for rest of us

probly the ST205 stuff as i havn't seen any directly stating that they are for a BEAMS engine.

im in the same boat as you now as i just acquired an altezza engine and want to pump some large boost figures in it.

    cheers

    Where I got mine from:-

Hello there Sir, i was told to contact you by CP pistons in regards to your request for some custom pistons for Toyota Beams 3s motor. I have all the specs for the engine and have done them several times. Race Engineering will include rings, wrist pins, and locks. Lead time will be 3-4 weeks. Let us know if we can help. John
