    hi,

    welcome to the forums.

a quick note to prevent you getting neg repped out of here, before asking such a broad question, try the search function.

As for your question, seeing as i am here - a gen 3 is not legally allowed under the dotars rules.
for options on motors - go to the members rides section and look at what other people have done.

    Cheers

a lot of people go the way of the 3T-GTE.. as the 22's engine bay is short...
Some have fitted 18R's.. ive fitted a 21R.. & not much room to spare...

dotars is nsw only isnt it? theres no mention of it on vicroads website. it would be definately difficult to achieve, but i dont think impossible.

first off, read the vicroads website top to bottom, more specifically here:

    http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/...dsInformation/
    http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rd...340/0/VSI8.pdf

then this is the most important part. consult an engineer! you'll probably have to pay one to look over your plans, but if your serious about this then its a small price to pay.

    sorry mate,

dotars is nsw or soon was nsw.

Should have said NCOP - national code of practice. i think all states bar nsw have adopted this so far.

the is a thread on the ncop in tech and conversions.

you could always call you local engineer and see what he says.

well jaffa has a 1uz fe 4L V8 in his and he's in vic so id say it is doable but i hope you have alot of time on your hands cause it aint a small job.

he has a members rides thread on it and yes his car is alittle bit overboard but it may be good for inspiration/ideas for you.

    cheers
