    Default 3s-fe cold start problem

Hey i'm new here i just want to introduce myself and ask some questions. As the title suggests i've got a camry with a 3s-fe and in the morning when the engines cold its hard to start. I've heard this is a common problem and it involves the cold start injector . but what i was wondering is how do you tell if the cold start injector with the problem or the thermotime switch that turns on the cold start injector.

    try this.

take off the CSI on the intake manifold (sits above the plugs in the middle of the front of the intake plenum) and do a crank. if you get a bit fuel spray then your injector is fine.

    Hi,

You may have done this already, however:

I read in the w/s manual, it says to put a multimeter across the injector terminals and measure the resistance. It should be between 2 - 4 ohms.

    Hope this helps,

    Cheers.

And also check the cold start timer switch to make sure its operating correctly.

Assuming that the cold start timer that Jetspeed metioned is the thermotime switch. i've checked both of these the way that the workshop manual says to and the appear fine
