they are the biggest brakes ive seen on a 23/28! and they look very nice too...

i'm going with the road runners's R33 brake setup, using R33 4 pistons and r33 slotted rotors. 296x30mm (big enough!)

its all going to have to be custom, so the only limit will be your budget

you can get kits from hoppers stoppers, but for the price......

TwinTurboCelica has the following on the JZA28: (which is now owned by lexsmaz)

330mm x 32mm Front disks with 6 pot Brembo calipers
328mm x 28mm Rear disks with 4 pot Brembo calipers

    cheers guys.

in05nt: thats the same setup as we hav on our cressy. sounds pretty good considering the ra28 is 500kg lighter. Is there a how-to on it anywhere? does it go on the standard hubs.

twentyEight: how big are the rims on owgoor?

    thanks

He had Simmons FR18s (18") on it, but a while ago he had the Simmons FR17s (17") from memory...

Also, the R32 and R33 setups use the standard hubs, but use a caliper adapter made by Linden (The Real Roadrunner)...

The R32 and R33 setups are discussed later in this thread - http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=25308

from what that thread says, to get BA rotors on the front, i need to re-drill the center hole and drill the 4x100 holes to get the stud pattern, then i need to machine the hub down so it clears the strut.

    is the BA rotor 298mm?

it says that if you are using anything smaller than a 298mm disc u have to get the custom caliper mount or do u need that on both?

do i need to get ra23 struts so i dont have the so called "ears"?

    Cheers

23/28 struts dont have the caliper mounts/ears on them only the xt130 struts.

if you want 280mm discs then a custom bracket needs to be built, but if you go bigger then use the xt130 struts and you'll be fine.

    cheers

vl/vl turbo disks bolt stright up to the hubs, no mods at all (appart from turning a mill off the nut)
Off the top of my head they are 290x25 give or take a couple

    VL Turbo are 290mm x 22mm, standard VL are 270mm x 22mm...

So, which one do you use and what calipers do you use?

IIRC, the VL runs a 1 piece Hub and Disc, so do you just put this over the hub leg?
