Default WSID: Full Throttle Friday, 2nd Nov

Hey guys, gonna be going out to wsid on the friday to race on the prepped track..

just letting you all know about this. WSID is holding a "test and tune" on the first friday on every month. They have had them in the past, but they didnt go to well and they got canned.

It is based off a Wicked Wednesday street meet so you dont need to hold an ANDRA licesne to compete.

The track will be prepped, so if you want to better your et by racing on a better surface, this is your chance.

If you live out of sydney, but wsid is still the closest strip, you would probably be better off making the trip down to one of these instead of a wednesday night meet.

It has the same entry costs as a wednesday meet also.
    http://www.wsid.com.au/event.asp?ID=470

    When: Friday 2nd November, 6pm - 11pm. Gates open at 4:30.
Where: Western Sydney International Dragway (WSID), Eastern Creek.
    What: Drag Racing!
Why: Give everyone a reason to get their car running!
Cost: $20 for spectators and $50 for competitors.

As per the normal street meet rules, you will require:

    - Helmet
    - Drivers license
    - Long sleeve shirt and long pants (might be an idea to look at the toymods racing shirts )

Gates open at 5pm and racing starts at 6pm until 10pm, so if you're racing make sure you get in early, it's not unheard of to be turned away at 6pm because there were too many cars.

Hope to see some people there!

    Cheers

That seriously sucks about the late start ! For us Canberra boys the major drawcard was the possibility of more runs with the early start at 1pm, Getting only 3-4 runs after 6pm is a major bitch after a 3 hour tow. WTF is wrong with WSID organisers? I wish they would take a leaf out of Willowbank's book & learn how to encourage test & tune/street meets, after all, its a good way to introduce people to the sport & hopefully get them back for the proper ANDRA sanctioned events!

    Maybe they don't want growth?
