    Default silvertop 4age

As time gets closer the list is slowly gettin smaller on my new race car.

but now i have a dilemma i need some help on. i ordered for my S/T 4age a set of leads and timing belt and half a dozen other things but they all dont fit!!!

i did a little research and found that i have a motor from an AE92, not the AE101 as i have read about every where else...

is this motor good or bad. any difference?

more to the point is the wireing diagram's the same for the AE101 to the AE92????

yes but all the items that im buying for the ae101 are all different to the motor i have. yes it is a 20v motor. for one the timin belt for the ae101 s/t has 97 teeth and is 25mm wide. vs mine is 111 teeth and is 19mm wide. plug leads were too long. dizzy cap is different and rotor button om mine isnt a button its a disc... so on and so forth

The silvertop part nr is 13568-19035 The silver top and black top motors have a different timing belt. The blacktop belt is about 3 mm wider and is shorter, having only 110 teeth instead of 111 for the silvertop. The part number for the blacktop belt is 13568-19185 .

    There ya go.
What I was told for the Toyota part numbers for the timing belts on the 20V.
My sig has been pruned as it was over 5 lines long.

Hmmm, I think what wilson 610 is saying/asking is he believes he has a very early(AE92) 20V... He says it is a 20V(tough not to distinguish a 20V) and yet it uses different parts....

I went through all the info I have and I found nothing that said AE92 20V. Now, I do show SOME info showing the AE101 20V beginning in January 1991. The AE92 was also available in January 1991... so might there have been an interem 20V for the AE92??? Having worked in the Mustang restoration field, I know there were odd short run cars that aren't always recorded by history.......

don't know about ae92's having a s/t but if they did, i doubt that toyota would change it that much in the 101.

If they've given you a wider/shorter belt then my bet is they've given you GZE parts

the 20V was not available in the AE92 at all. It came out in the AE101's in 1991

The 97 tooth belt is too short and too wide to be a 20V or 16V 4age belt. From memory the 16V GE belt is 114 teeth and ~20mm wide.

    blacktop timing belt is 110 teeth x 21mm. Gates T1567, Gates also has a 110x20.7 belt for a BMW 1.6i motor... T910

The silvertop belt is 111 teeth and 19mm wide, a Gates belt for a camira fits, T081

The 16V belt is 113 teeth and 19mm wide, Gates T176

You either have a 20V or 16V but you definitely have the wrong parts, so take them back and tell them they ordered you the wrong shit and demand they get the right shit in

right now i have got the correct timing belt... the next problem was the leads and dizzy cap.

the ones they have got in are 90 deg outlet but only 2 bolt holes that hold it down not three...
