    Default RA28 Full rebuild

    Hello!

I have just brought 2 RA28s here in WA for another :S project! These where brought from Ansonvd here on this forum.

    RA28 Number 1 ---- Decent body - 18RG - Exhaust etc Runs great

    RA28 Number 2 ---- Crashed but 1ggze with wolf v4, brakes,

I have just organised the body work and paint - show condition jet black. The interior will be along the original styling but new!

I will be stripping the 2 cars back to shells in about 5 weeks and the project begins! Allready started ordering all new rubbers and bushes for throughout the car! (darn ra28 stuff is expensive compared to other cars :S)

I am looking for a hand planning the project - mainly in compatabillity from other models. Here is the list!

Rear diff ----- T series, should be enough for the 1ggze!

    Gearbox ----- I have 3 w58s, a t50 and the original w50(i think)! new exedy clutch

S/C ----- Standard one from 1ggze but proberly map one of the wolf3d outputs to turn the S/C pully off when below 20% throttle postion ----- save fuel

    Motor ----- Gen 3 1ggze

    ECU ----- Wolf3d v4

Steering ----- Powersteering made by 77gze (this forum)

Radiator ----- I have a almost new stock ra28 one .... Will this
    do ?

A/C ----- I am going to use the 1ggze compressor and the standard condensor

Brake System - REAR - Corona disks
    FRONT - RX7
    MASTER - Supra
I think that i will have to get a adjustable proporationing valve!

Suspension ----- In my lancer I ran whiteline gear and am very happy with it. Does anyone run whiteline gear in the celicas? Would be interested in peoples suspension setups!

Fuel system ----- Is it normal that the ra28 GT with a 18rg standard makes a clicking sound from the fuel pump all the time ? What is the standard fuel tanks baffels like? this is a daily driver so i guess i wont need a surge tank? I was thinking a walbro intank as i am running that in 2 cars already with no problems

Anyways --- Hope i can get some planning help! BTW --- please + rep me as i want to sell lots of stuff

    Glen

I did start to give answers to your above questions the realised everything youve asked has been covered 10 times before.
I dont mean to sound like a forum nazi, but hit the search button!!

Good luck with the project... always good to see another RA28 being rebuilt.

Got a lot of work ahead of you mate! Have fun, good luck

Hilux diff might be pretty heavy, I'm way happy with the MX23 with trutrac, hard to find though.

gday mate, i have a diff for sale very soon, with LSD and 4.1s. Its an F series in my current ra28 and im going after a hilux diff for a shorter track to allow wider rims.
So, ill be asking about 900 for it when i sell, already a bolt in for the 28!

If I remember off the top of my head AE86 front coilovers will bolt into your steering knuckles, I'm just not too sure about the strut top hats O_o

So that could be an option.

Also the FC brake caliper option for AE86 struts are also there.
