    Default 1JZGTE ECU Part Numbers

    Howdy,

it seems that my 1J ecu has had a trip to the barbeque due to some dodgey wiring (not mine, someone elses, who wont be touching my car ever AGAIN ) aaaaaaanyway, I need to find a new ECU and I should be able to get one, but after being lent one from an importer in adelaide it seems that there are two different types of four plug ECU's, one with 2 rows of pins and one with 3 rows of pins, mine is the 2 row...

    my part number is:

    89661 - 22400 and thats for a 1JZGTE Auto ECU

Im just wondering if that ecu is from an auto JZA70??? becuase im ordering a power FC next week and I need to definitiely know which car it is from?

Also would someone be able to provide me the part number for the manual equivalent of my ecu so I can check with other importers who might have one?

    Cheers

Sent you a PM Matt... I have a manual one, I'll find out the number asap as I have the thing out of the car atm.

I'll check the number of pin rows too.

    Borrow stock ecu for Monday.

Ring up Microtech, order LT12S/LT10S programmed for 1JZGTE, install, turn key, skids.

    Are microtech ones stand alone?

I think Matt is having issues finding a stock one, and in the right pin configuration.

yes, microtech is stand alone. 1 day of wiring in the loom (less if you know what you're doing) and all is sweet on the big rock candy mountain

Wouldn't a Power FC be a better option for ease and rollback? (eg they are plug and play)

Or is there a big $$ and tunability difference?

im kinda hooked on the idea of the power FC...the fact its plug and play and some of the best tuners in adelaide do thier best work with power FC's has me kinda set on it....

i might have too hit my brother up for some ecu borrowing action...as finding one too buy is becoming a real PITA...

you dont have as many aux outputs with a PFC...but it does use all the stock toyota stuff like the map sensor, all other sensors, ignitor etc etc...which I do like

microtech has inbuilt MAP and igniter... which means 2 more things in your engine bay you can throw out/sell
    and uses all factory sensors

well so far its $1300 for the power FC without handcontroller....

if the microtech is cheaper then it might be the go...

can I run the stock coilpacks with the microleb?

just rang the place where im gonna be getting my powerFC tuned and they want either $600 to tune a power FC (+1300 for the unit) or $2300 to fit/supply/tune a microleb...

I reckon the powerFC is still lookin the go
