Post Reminder: Classic Jap Show- Sunday 14 October

    hi folks,

just a reminder about this event.

Location: Pine Rivers Park Strathpine QLD.
    Date: Sunday 14 October
    Show entry: $15
    Spectator entry: free!
entry forms: from [email protected] or http://www.zcarclubq.org.au/events/cjss07.html

The TCCQ is aiming for a turn-out bigger than 3 this year (among >160 cars on display). We plan to judge club members car put on display at this event - instead of our own show-n-shine (we had 14 October down as our event at Hawkins @ Chandler but didn't want to lose out to this show).

It would be great to see other Toyota fans put their cars on display and see what else Japan has had to offer over the last half century of automobile manufacturing.

As Ray has mentioned in other posts, the original date was shifted due to the unseasonal (tho greatly appreciated) August rain.

More information here: http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=25192 and on the Z-club web site.

    cheers,
    Charles.

    Hi Charles,

I've just emailed to find out if I can still enter at this late stage. Hopefully they are still accepting new entries.

    I only managed to get a couple before my camera batteries died. I dont know what it was about those grounds but there were so many flies its not funny. Brushing them off every 3 seconds haha crazy. My favourite car of the show;

There was a Century there aswell, which I assume was Norbies. What a car! Looked the biz inside, shame he had the bonnet shut though.

Lol Rosey the two cars you photographed the most werent even in the show! But all the same that purple one is pretty nice.... I think almost everytime I looked down the hill to make sure my blue one was still ok there was someone there having a perve

There were actually two Century's there, a VG40 up on the hill and my GZG50 near the coffee van. I had the bonnet open for much of the day but you didn't miss much, all you can see is the crazy system of pipes and plenums which makes the engine impossible to identify; most people thought it was a V8.

And yes those flies certainly did suck, if I wasn't entered in the event I would have left after about an hour.
