Haven't got any more pics of the intercooler. It is a 100mm core with 3" piping mounted with outlets at the top. There are two holes cut in the panel behind the headlights for the pipe to pass through. The cooler was fitted and plumbed without taking the bumper off. The grille and headlight plastics were trimmed slightly to allow for the core and pipes.
We also replaced the bonnet catch upright support with a piece of shaped stainless angle.

We did all the auto trans wiring last night and fitted a TFS106 fan switch for the thermos.
If it ever stops raining we may be able to actually use full throttle.

    .
The scania turbo is off a 9l diesel and has a 1.18 internal gate exhaust housing and a .5 comp cover. Other than that it would be the same I think. It looks the same as the 4088 on this ->

apart from the housings and being a 3rd of the price(and slightly smaller comp wheel).
They are quite different in design to a TO4Z or GT35. I am not even sure why they have 3 turbos that can do almost(I said almost) the same job in their range.

Miles is taking it to Powercruise tomorrow so if you see him step up and say hi. I will be there on Saturday if the weather comes good.

Thanks for that the main thing i was intererested in was the clearance with the head lights and plastics and it must be tight to fit 100mm between the bumper and the air con gear, i have been looking a a 76mm core for mine and that looks tight to me, just taking basic measurements. Also find the diif conversion very interesting, you have me thinking about mine now.

1.18 rear housing, that's farking huge! Will be interesting to see how it spools.

There's acres of room there for a 76mm core and ample for the 100mm. You really couldn't get an easier car to retrofit a JZ too. Front to back, it all fell into place(odd diff conversion excepted).

Norbie - I thought it may be a little big but with the 4000 stall it seems to be fine. It isn't the optimal turbo for a 2JZ, we just bought it because it is reasonably modern and was cheap.

The cressy is at powercruise and is running fine other than boosting to 1.4bar. It has a just jap "ebay" wastegate, what is the spring pressure in these things normally? Can't be that much surely.
We'd like to get the boost down under the cut level or raise the cut as he can only use 1/4 throttle atm. I am thinking pull the gate off and cut the spring.

Stints sorted out the ebay wastegate by chopping a few coils off the spring at powercruise, now runs about 16psi. Added an FCD from 2JZR31 and all is ok.

Made 361hp atw on the powercruise dyno.

Stints chatted to a couple of (JZ)MX83 owners there too, not sure if they are on here though.

    X 2.

Quote from a text from Stints this morning.
"I raced this guy in a 10 second Camaro 3 times and beat him twice. Afterwards he came over and asked me "what the f#ck is in that thing". Lol.

Got another text later saying he had to stop at supercheap to get some pads for it on the way home. They were newish on tuesday when we last looked. Will have to fit the GTR brakes soon(or Z32 if they fit inside the std rims).

Seen this car at powercruise what a machine the back end was really sitting down when you pinned it down the straight. It's a real sleeper.

No not 1/4 mile, just powercruise racing. Hard to explain powercruise, still tryong to get my head around the anarchy.
It'd prolly do low 12's atm but smoking camaro's with drivelines that exceed roof height, in a brown toyota with upholstery buttons on the seats, is always a good saturday arv.
