As above... I did the same thing with my conversion, I needed to fabricate a new section where the twin pipe's merge into one, I make a nice flowing transition up and was getting Large spikes of boost with stock controls in place.

    Attachment 5384

The 'cone' which is exactly that a cone from 3inch pipe down to a 2.25inch diameter section mimicks the restriction the factory cast 'Y' peice serves in the sytem allowing the boost to be controlled.I fitted my coen in the dump section where the 3inch outlet of the 'Y' peice connects to.

Even with this restrictor in the system I was getting spikes over 14psi meaning I was still hitting boost cut.

Direct consequence of more boost is fuel cut and possible destroying turbo's.

fuel filter is mounted, i just need to find a banjo->banjo flexible section.

this is the wrong donut for the gearbox so the actual one will be slightly bigger. for memory this one is off a UZ or something. the real donut and a piece of tailshaft is on its way. i feel the clearance is sufficient to use the donut arrangement.

this is the Z12 xmember with the JZS reubber mount. the holes have been elongated with a file and a new 5-8mm plate with 4 holes will be welded onto the bottom. the top also had to be recessed to clear the rubber mount. ill be restrengthening that section with some 5mm plate also .

the gear shift rod has been shortened and bent for adaquate clearance. you may also notice the bolt in the gearshift is now pointing outward, ive reversed it. there was clearance issues with the RHS speend sensor/plug and also the 3 prong flange thing. it is close to the trans tunnel but even if it does rub there is no problems.

    thats it for now!

If the aristo donut is too big the 1UZ one will be fine , thats how ive got around the problem before.

    the pcd is different though....

so the 3 prong flange would need to be changed accordingly.

after more looking at it all, it seems the JZS donut may work

Flexiable fuel hose, banjo-banjo can be had from an EFI charade (that's where I''ve got them from in the past!)

when i was getting a sxv21 (model?) cable today, i pulled off a banjo-banjo hose (from same car).

only problem is that the hole is slightly bigger on one side of the banjo. might have another look tomorow

Don't forget you'll need a bit of clearance for the whole shebang to wiggle around on its rubber mounts.

    yeh,

there is a little bit of a clearance issue between the gearbox wiring loom bracket and the fuel lines.

hopefully it doesnt move too much though.

im getting some genuine engine mounts through toyota. they have some promo rubbish on called trade grade pricing. MS123 engine mounts (same as mz12) are $52.00 each

i might still give it some tunnel bashing in places

whats the deal with the PS pump and lines?

for memory this is a different pressure outlet to the 1JZ pump? therefore the RT142/RA65 straight-swap wont work?

i might have to braze the RT142 pressure line to the existing short section already on the pump.

    In regards to the PS,

The PS idle up (to stop the car stalling when you do a U turn ), and RT142 lines.

If you ditch the aristo version and get a JZZ30 version (tis like a T piece with the PS idle up on the side), as opposed to the aristo version then the RT142 lines simply screw in...

It's not the pump. It screws into the pump, and then the PS lines screw into it, an inline T for the PS idle up if you would...

Have a look to check if it is internal / ext, that other GT LTD I had was external pump! (mine is internal)

    Stop stuffing around already
