there are plenty of people running small engines with lowish HP who would KILL for another 3HP

ask anyone in the top 5 of one of the compeditive formula ford series tell them you could give them 4 HP for a grand and they would be scrambling to find there cheque book,
although they already run everything they can so you cant acctually gain them that HP,

Its got very little to do with howmuch you gain but if thats a extra 3 or 4 HP that you want then why not go there?
we run E30 drivers cup cars, and the engines have quite strict rules, but they still spend 10-15-20 grand on a build even though you cant use forged pistons or aftermarket cams,rockers,rods etc
I there are a few super expensive processes that we carry out to gain that lest few HP,
having gains for 4 or 5 HP from a 2000 dollar process.

but that 4 or 5 HP makes the difference of 1st or 3rd

i think it would be more of a gain so to say in the fact that its going to help your oil pick up... as opposed to making more power.

if it is going to insure your pickup having less airated/more oil to pick up, id be happy with that.

and the mention of teflon before, i have seen a few write ups of the use of teflon as a good material. cant say if its better of worse but would be alot easy to make one out of teflon than steel

well the advantage of teflon you can afford to run tighter clearences without any big issues
