    Default Ta23 + 18r-g??

Hey guys, i have a TA23 which was formally powered by a 2T-GEU, but unfortunatly it died .

I have been looking for a RA23 but cant for the life of me find one near me (Canberra), How hard would it be slash what would be invloved in putting an 18R-G/W50 in??? (I want to put in an 18R-G becuase i want something with a little more grunt than a 1600 )

And i would rather put an engine in this car than a new one because it has centimental value to me

    Cheers

You will need an RA23/28 crossmember and the engine will bolt right in. You'll also need a gearbox crossmember and tailshaft from the same. It's all quite straightforward once you've acquired the right bits.

    the man speaketh the truth.

bolt in affair with the relevant RA parts.

And as the wiring in these things is basic to say the least its just a case of plugging em onto the same parts but on the RG.

didn't you already have a thread dude, im sure i replied,

nathan wiring i think is a bit different, got to get back to you, but you know more about wiring then me, but

you will need RA23/28 x member
standered TA23 auto x member will work for W50
standered TA23 auto tailshaft will work but you will need to change the yoke,
you will need to move the outlets on your radiator to make it work also,

it isnt that hard, shouldn't take more than a weekend,

simply take the old motor out, take the x member , gearbox, tailshaft out, and bolt up your R series x member in, then replace with 18RG+W50, bolt up gearbox x member, tailshaft,

get auto electritian or mate who knows what he is doin or even yourself, to wire it up,

    get radiator hoses,

fo fuel lines i never ran a return and i just used standered lines, with a lift pump in the boot to push the fuel up,

thats about all of it man,

i have most of the parts here at home if your interested, well everything apart from engine and box,
