yeah but if i had figured on the front diff i would have sourced a front sump . this sump had to be severely modified.but it works fine with no leaks but holds 400ml less oil. cheers bigwad

    This is Awsome!

Id love to hear about how you did the transfer case. to keep 4WD. Id love to have a 1jz hilux, I though it would end up having to be 2wd, as I have no chance of making an adaption between the two.

    Congrats on the awsome work.

didn,t have to do anything to the transfer .i used a reco std g52 hilux box .i bought a blank cast bellhousing off pete jacobs, drilled all the holes to suit the box and engine, fitted the original slave cyl and clutch fork then fitted the lot using the std box mounts to get it all positioned then made the engine mounts to suit.i wish i had known all this before i started caus it would have saved 6 months and alot of $ and head scratching .go for it, a wicked conversion. cheers bigwad

Cool as. Im supprised that the G53 would handle the 1jz, and also bolt up with a different bell housing. I thought other things wouldnt line up.

    Congrats.

well to be honest if you try to drive them like a dragcar you will end up with a toothless input shaft, trust me.but i suppose if you get offa and start doing smokeys in second gear with a detroit locker and 33,s you are going to bust anything.a gutfull of turkey will always cost you more than the bottle did.i,m old enough to know better but why should you young blokes have all the fun.cheers bigwad

    That's a great saying

Nice conversion. That makes 2 4wd 1jz conversions I have heard of now. The other one in the Bundera formerly owned by Skip using the R151 gearbox.
