Thumbs up Wakefield Track Day - 6 July 2007

    Hi,

A few people have noted they would be keen for a track day at Wakefield Park in July.

After having the poll open for one week the date chosen has been Friday 6 July 2007. Now that the date is set people can make plans for their attendance.

This is just a general "No Speed Limit" Wakefield Track day i.e. it is open to anyone. These days are generally run in 20 minutes sessions and being an open day it may have very few cars or it may have many, you don't know until you get there.

All the info for anyone who hasn't been before can be found here:

    http://www.wakefieldpark.com.au

It's $100 for the day plus $50 for an annual licence if you don't have one (a valid CAMS licence negates the need to purchase a Wakefield licence).

A roadworthy car will ensure you have a fun time

    Cheers.

Update: As there appears to be a few people heading up for the day from Canberra we might as well kick off the social side of the day by having anyone who is keen to drive up together meet at the Shell Gateway Service station (located at the EPIC entrance).

In order to be at Wakefield Park by 8:30am at the latest we will need to meet at Shell at 7:30am and leave by 7:40am. Anyone who wants to just meet at the track we will see you there.

I would definitely be keen as a spectator since i dont think my car will be able to last a track day! Current shifts at work are on thurs and sat, but may start to include fri (which is why i voted wed). Will be in QLD from 8-18 Jul so those are out for me.

I will be happy to follow the decision made and come if i am free. That way i can hopefully get a feel for the day and some good photos too!

Don't think I can take another day off work so soon for this one guys It's a shame though, I find it to be great stress relief!

    Hey Shano
Tweety isnt up for a track day yet as I STILL cant find the elec fault as it keeps breaking down...BUT...I still might just come for the day and pit crew. I can even keep times for some of the lads too. So ant day will be good for me.
    Cheers

    haha maybe

got no real idea if i will be able to make it...got some loose plans in my mind that depend on ness quite a lot...so will see!

on the positive side my car is back to normal now...shits me to tears spending best part of 2 weeks dicking around to get it running right after i got it back from the mechanics

warning guys,.... ITS FREEZING DOWN IN GOULBURN ATM!........

yesterday had a WINDCHILL FACTOR of -4degrees, and was snowing a few k's away from the track

so rug up....a massive motorbike jacket didnt even save me from the cold!!!...so be prepared to freeze down there when we go down again!

racing the commodore, flat to the board, and didnt need the thermo fan, didnt even reach the 1/4 temperature mark!....but then it decided to blow a hole in the side of the block....

    blake
