The diff guy checked it out today and is adament that it was an oil issue, too old, too thin, too low. So a fresh top-up is going in and we'll see how it goes.

My sway-bar turned up today too, at least it'll be on the car for the next track day now.

Might get the LSD jiggered up next week.

Will have a CD of some shots in the next few days, I'll see what they are like and what is on there and email people the pics of their cars.

By "jiggered" I hope you mean "spool."

Dunno if Shane's is 25 or 28 spline... If it's a match, then I can see a logical marriage of excess parts here!

Grrr!! Why the plethora of wakefield outings when i can't come???!!!1111

Although there has been some movement towards fixing my engine; i may have found a reasonably priced source for bumpsticks to fix my bottom end... I'm away for a couple of weekends in august too so i'll probably miss the chance to come for shotgunning and pelican beverages.

On a CD over the border. I might have them on the weekend.

We're lucky one car died otherwise there'd be no pics

Mine has 28 spline axles. If I go spool I think it will be a full spool, I just have to chat about the longevity (or lack of it) of the LSD first.

    A special one

They put the 8 and the 9 too close together on the keyboard these days.

I was just thinkin here at work, about the day.... Still get the tingles thinking about it...
It was awesome having a drive in Shanes car, It handles really well and whats more impressive is the fact that it can still improve... I wish the LSD wasnt acting up cos coming out of left hand corners the arse sat down hard and you could feel it pulling like a mad thing... no wheelspin at all....

Thanks for the ride Shane... was a blast! have you mounted the camera inside the car and done a few laps?

Also I've got somewhat more respect for a Commodore Ute... Hear me out for a second, i know its a ute but it handles quite well for what it is... It was super fun trying to eek every single bit of performance out of it, so much so we got red flagged for pushing too hard.....
Grrrrrrreat success Champ!!!! you drive the Ute hard an fast Phil!!!.... maybe too hard thats why its pulling to the left

Just ordered a complete set of poly bushes for the excel, since the rubber lot were beyond good... hopefully makes an improvement...
Nothing like owning an excel where the poly bushes are half the cost of the actual car eh Justin!

I wished it wasn't either so I turned my wish into reality and it's getting turfed on Thursday for something else.

New front sway bar is now on too, seems to be quite good on preliminary testing on my "local circuit" Rear bar should be done before we go back too.

I did the previous time, it's good footage on a busy track but pretty dull otherwise. Might do a session with it fitted next time we go.

The WP Calendar still hasn't got the August dates up yet - still waiting.
