Bonneville mounts are $300 confirmed today. Less for cash picked up in person. The guy laughed when i called them bonneville engine mounts lol he just goes "i assume youre one of the folks after JZ mounts". he also mentioned sells one a fortnight at least, thats a lot of converted vehicles in the process! but they are overseas a lot.

The RA65 gear - it's just the piping actually - lets you use the factory power-steer pump on the JZ motor in the factory location - without having to get lines made up at pirtek et al.

You don't use the RA65 rack.

RA65 has power steering pump mounted on passengers side of car, much like the JZ does.
Where as all M and UZ engines have it mounted on the drivers side of the car.

ah fuck looks like maybe the 2jz-ge vvti i was looking at might be too much fuck around after reading this: http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/tec...nvolved-3.html

has a separate auto box ecu that works differently and i may need the 2jz vvti auto shifter, which it does not have. damnit hope i can work around this, i have contacted sideshow about it + also to possibly queue him up for my work.

    Easy

You have to wire it in yourself...it doesn't just plug in

Where can one obtain one of these converters?

Just do a search on here for a post regarding making a booster from a relay
I make about 10 per month for my wire ups
They r slightly different to the ones on here but the ones on here seem to work
Going by reading the posts from some of the guys
Basically u need a tscho booster when going from a single coil engine setup
To an engine that has two or more coils
So basically all the 1uz 1jz2jz 4agze wiring jobs I do u need to fit one or fk around and pull tacho apart

How did you guys solve the problem of the digital dash needing a mechanical speedo cable input coming out of the 5M-E gearbox?

Is there a way to open up the digital dash and splice in a 1JZ gearbox electronic signal into the electric speedo signal part of the digital dash?

    I’m asking on Ivan’s behalf.

You put a mechanical drive on the gearbox...

    not exactly for 1j boxes
but i normally tell my custoemrs to pull out the 1j speedo sensor
and take it to wreckers and find one thats cable driven but same meausrements internal
    like the length and diameter
cressidas normally have the right thing u need
remove the cable or the speedo sensor on a cressida auto and then the bit that goes
into the gbox is what u need
then u can also get a pass thru speedo sensor so u cans till get correct signal to ecu if u want
    then still run the cable

maybe also look at older toyota manual boxes for similar speedo drives

normally there is 2 diameter drives so make sure u get right one

What yearish cressidas we talking? What type? What engine/gbox?

Edit: just found what I needed https://toymods.org.au/forums/tech-c...-cressida.html looks like Ivan needs an auto box series 1 MX83 for the mechanical speedo.

The piece on the right I believe is the auto box series 1 MX83 mechanical speedo driver

However, I don't know what this bottom bended piece is

Just to confirm the bit that goes into the gearbox isn’t actually inside the gearbox right? As in you won't need to drop/open the entire gearbox to remove/install it?

From my knowledge the digital dash outputs a converted speedo signal to the 5M-E ECU from factory, so it shouldn’t be a hassle to run the speedo signal from the dash to the 1JZ ECU.

1jz gearbox - A340e is pretty similiar if not same to a A340e 2JZ gbox, but the ECU is prob doing things quite differntly so thats whatll matter i think, and the sensors/outputs/inputs etc.

Thanks for the help guys, i've printed these notes off to keep handy.

High pressure hose can be made using:

2m -8 200 series braided hose, use just under but 2m to be safe.
    2x M16x1.5 to -8 adaptors
    2x 90 degree -8 braided hose fittings
