theres a gze vin number
i dont have a funny or cool signature.
Just use some good gasket goo or make one out of cardboard.
You don't need to give Toyota a vin to get the part number - the dude you spoke to was being lazy!
Just tell him what model and year it came from (ie '87 AW11).

True true. Most import VIN's wont come up in an aussie EPC anyway... So they have to search by make and model...
Your part number is the next weet-bix box that becomes available ay home, combined with a bit of sealant. Has worked fine for me with just sealant no gasket at all.
meh...
I just rebuilt a GZE and for this gasket I traced the outline of the old gasket onto some ACL oil jointing paper, which is about 80c a sheet, then coated it in a thin smear of silastic. The engine runs 12psi and has no problems - this is essentially what the original is made of.
i made my s/c inlet/outlet pipe gaskets with 0.8mm gasket paper and a ball pien hammer. little Hylomar on assembly and all is sweet.
yep. they were being lazy.
no import numbers will work on the aussie system (which SUCKS by the way....)
for interests sake, the part number is 17849-16010
