A bit OT but whats the type of classic celica numbers you get up your way of sydney/nsw on a cruise? Us Vic boys got 22 on our latest meet, yet again proves the age old theory of melbourne being better than sydney (or as far as i know of so far).
Classic = TA22, RA23 and RA28.
Basically anything pre-RA40.

If it was a bit closer I'd drive down from Brisbane....
Edit - OT comments removed
I fear that at times it seems the forums have replaced the face-to-face interaction of socialising. Yes, I agree that cruises offer the face-to-face conversations, but lately there has been so few turning up to events and cruises that it makes us wonder why they are organised. Also the monthly meetings seem to have less people. As a Board member this is something we discuss and see what can be done to change this, as a normal Club memeber I would like to see more of you turn up to the meetings and get invovled with our monthly discussions.
In any event, I have pencilled in the date for this cruise and hoepfully have the brake system fixed before then so I can take the Celica.

1980RIP NATHAN BRETT DEAN2007,
probably because a lot of us here on the forums aren't from the greater Sydney area, even though we live in NSW. if I owned a "classic Celica" I'd still be faced with a 7 hour drive from where I live to get to the meet point.Originally Posted by DQIKST
I know of quite a few people here that would love to attend more cruises and meetings, but distance is a killer. we get together the way we know how to on these forums, and sadly it isn't always face-to-face, as much as we'd like it to.
when i get my license i will be there for sure (club meetings and cruises where ra40's are allowed ) and ill bring my car along alsoOriginally Posted by DQIKST
we all talk about being a club, how about we stop sitting behind a PC and on the forums and get out and show us your car and enjoy it with people that have the same passion....
why are NSW people different??
cheers

This is not the place to question each others priorities and lifestyle choices. We all have commitments and a life outside of Toymods.
This thread is for The Classic Celica Appreciation Day Steve is organising so lets not get off track and sabatage what should be a great day/event.

Had fun on the weekend so I'll be there again.
I'll get my brother to bring his 22 as well so that'll be 2 more.
Of course after being near such awesome cars i'm seriously considering taking mine off the road for paint - but i'm sure you don't want to hear that!!!
