    Default 3T-GTE Thermostat Housing

    Guys/Gals,

Anyone know if and where I can get a new 3T-GTE Thermostat housing? My current item is perished and unusable.

a 2t one will fit as well i think. most t variants are the same, albeit some at different angles.

I have spoke with toyota and they have no refrence of the part. Autobarn are just gay. I think I recall a while ago that Stewart Wilkins Motorsport had this item however it is no longer listed on the website.

In addition to this would someone know the toyota part number so I can approch them again. It is definatly different then the 2T item as this does not accomodate cooling for the turbo additional fittings.

Well if all the 2T one is missing is the turbo feed and you cant get the 3T one then just get the 2T one and then get someone to weld a fitting onto it. Prob a better option especially if your gunna get reamed on a new one if you can find it.

The 2T one isn't for EFI engine therefore doesn't have the provision for Coolant temp sensor and the other plugs.

The mild steel outlets are all corroded but more improtantly the thing looks like crap!! I I am after something new as everything else in the engine bay is presentable

Well firstly its a shit looking part and it faces in the wrong direction - to the right. Mine is going to be adjusted ie cut and rewelded so it faces forward but if i had to make a new one id get a flange cut so its the same and bolts up then just get a thermostat housing of something else and weld that one. Then all you need to do is get some fittings put on and your set.

i have a 2T-G efi one with 3 holes for the temp sensors, i posted up in the wanted section for a carby version with only one sensor hole so if you have one we could swap (if 2T-G fits 3T-GTE).
