mz20 (ma70) centre bearing (center bearing)

Went to the local bearing shop yesterday, trying to find a replacement centre bearing for an mz20.

The only bearing that looked remotely similar in the catalogue was off a crown, which had 140mm mount spacing and 30mm bearing diameter. I've yet to pull the shaft apart to determine the bearing diameter, but suspect it will be 30mm too.

Does anyone know if the crown bearing will work, or alternately if there is another source of replacement bearings for mz20's?

Well, I measured the shaft diameter and it is indeed 30mm, so the crown one will probably work ok.

I might get them to ring their suppliers to see if they can get an ma70 one anyway.

Ok, they did in fact have an ma70 centre bearing in some other catalogue.

The picture and specs of the ma70 one were identical to what we measured on the mz20 one, as you'd expect.

Uni joint kits were even in stock, so I'll be replacing those at the same time.
