1jz into MZ21 wiring help please!!!

Hey every body, I'm a new member looking for some info. Trying to swap 1jz into MZ21 7mgte and don't have a clue about the wiring by the computer or under hood! I see that a few guys here have done it so I hope you can help. Thanks

Hey guys I looked through the threads but all I need is which wires to connect to make it run. I am doing this for a buddy and I am in Canada. I can make it turn over but not start. I figured out the starter wires but no fuel or spark. The car was mz21 7mgte auto put in jza70 1jz auto. Can't get any wiring diagrams where i am at and nobody has these cars here. Can't here fuel pump with key but when i put power to the pump manually it turns on. I just need to get the car to start and run, the other stuff like gauges and a/c and speedo/tach don't matter to him right now. All I need is the Soarer wiring colors and where they connect to. Wish I lived there - hot weather, hot cars' hot women. Thanks guys.

supra/soarer/cressida wiring is all relatively similar.

theres a connector just behind the fusebox on the 1J, its called the "EA2" connector, that needs to be connected, along with 4-5 wires behind the glove box

the EA2 connector runs your ignitor, alternator, and the temp sender in the bottom of the radiator.

the wires behind your glove box give power to your injectors (and ignitor as well i think?) make your car crank, and give power to your fuel pump.

basically, to run the car you need the big square plug behind the glove box with the 2-3 big fat wires in the middle of it, and the EA2 connector in the engine bay.

Hey Elmo, I have hooked up three wires behind the glove box. I think they were blk/org, blk/wht and blk/blue. Are these correct? As for the EA2 connector I hooked up blk/org to blk/org, blk/red to blk/red and blk/yel to blk/yel from EA2 to small 6 pin connector. I don't know if that is correct. still no start.

I forgot to mention we are using aftermarket electric fans.

makes me laugh tryin to wire stuff that takes ages to do properly over the net

if u actually had a brain u would sit down study the whole wiring it might take u 2 days but

much quicker than tryin to wire up one wire at a time on here

most jobs where the owner trys to wire up shit by asking thru the internet one wire at a

time the job usually turns out to be one bigggg bag of speghetti

trust me ive seen it many mnay times

asking what a wire does without researching where it goes is how u fuk things up

anyway ill come back in a month and see how its travelling

Thanks for the confident reply sideshow. It was my first large wiring conversion, freaked me out. Got it all figured out yesterday. Sat down for 8 hours with my diagrams and my soldering iron. Runs great! Only problem is it is an auto. Thanks for all the help!!!!!
