    Excellent bit of info thanks

I ended up finding a set from a IS200/RS200 so it was great. I have a feeling that the arm piece on the accelerator would also fit a number of 1998+ models too. Will have to do more investigation.

The clutch and brake pedals would definitely fit quite a few models. I love Toyotas mix and matchability

Anyone know if AE86 front hubs are the same as ones found on any other Toyotas?

Trying to avoid the "Initial D" mark-up on price!!

KE70/AE71s are affected by Takumi tax almost as much as AE86s these days...

I changed my front drum brakes in my 1979 RN41 2wd Hilux to discs by getting the whole upright with disc, caliper and brake line + the booster and master cylinder from a 80 to early 83 2wd Hilux just pop off upper and lower ball joints and tie rod end and swap out the whole setup. 100% straight bolt in.

Hilux four piston caliper will bolt onto the MS85 stub axle which the stub-axle will bolt onto the MS55/65 models, just need to cut into the backing plate a little.

So i'm looking at installing the factory optional disc brakes on my MS55 crown and the jap import models (super saloon model) used twin opposed sumitomo calipers (much like the corona ones - i've been told they are the exact same units). So i pulled out one of my spare early hilux four piston caliper and it has the same bolt pattern as the factory sumitomo.

Therefore you can improve your brakes by
    - installing the vented pug setup with the later hilux four piston calipers (all four pistons are equal size). Order the vented pug disc as blanks and drill out 5x114.3 stud pattern
    - or the earlier type hilux four piston calipers (has one large and small piston on each side and ONLY suits solid discs) with the factory 266mm solid discs (just order factory corona XT132 discs as blanks and drill out the 5x114.3 stud pattern
    - or just use the factory sumitomo twin opposed calipers with the factory 266mm discs

Yes they do fit as I have just done this conversion on my MS55 but you do need to machine the disc down for them to bolt on.
    Cheers Brett.

I've been looking at a problem that seems to boil down to an issue with my TPS (1ggze).

A quick parts cross ref on toyodiy (bad toyota making them take down diagrams).

Looks like almost every toyota made from mid eighties to mid 2000s all use the same TPS part number 89452-12040

Has anyone confirmed this in the real world?

no, there are at least 2 different tps for 7m's. afaik the only difference is the orientation of the bit that rotates with the throttle shaft, but they arent interchangeable.
