    Default A340E 1JZ conversion to MX73 Cressida.

Well as I'm gathering all the parts for my conversion now, it seems my only issue is going to be the wiring of the automatic 1JZ. I've only found one person in Adelaide that is happy to try wire it up, yet he said he will have to research the wiring as he hasn't done it yet. There are very few completed automatic 1JZ MX73s in Adelaide by the looks of it.
My question is this. Does anyone in Adelaide have experience with the wiring of this conversion, or is there a wiring diagram I can download and take to the auto electrician?? Bolting everything in, and everything else is not a problem at all. I can have all that stuff done. It is only the wiring that is going to cause me issues.
I'd like to have working aircon (once i re-gas and do the lines) and everything else working as per factory.

    Thanks in advance.
    Ben

This is the wiring diagram I used to wire MV shift box.

    http://www.1jz-gte.us/documents/SubD...ZWiringECT.pdf

I take it you don't have a half cut?

Can you list what parts you have
    engine:
gearbox: exact model would probably help ie. A3041LE
    wiring: engine and trans

There isn't too many wires to sort out with these boxes. Basically, from what I can tell, Park is ignition switched power, then there are signals from R,N,D,2 & 1. Then there is another plug that has 4 wires. 1 I don't know what it is. 2 are for solenoid A and B which activate to change gears and the other is the lockup solenoid.

It is an JZA70 motor. Removed from front cut with a sump changed. I have complete loom and computer etc pulled from the front cut. All standard auto box etc. Not sure on exact number.
I reckon I'll keep my car reasonably mild coz it's my daily, so i won't build the box past shift and stall, and stick to 250-260rwkW with a 3076R.
Shift kit etc will be done at MVs, seeing as I live across the road from him.
Just need to get the whole motor etc running as per factory. Was almost going to pay Mos to come across, but it's still gonna be like $1200-1300 doing that

I haven't actually wired a stock ecu in my conversion but I thought it was basically a matter of integrating the parts of the new loom into your current one so that it will switch on when ignition is on. This should send power to everything else that is connected to it like standard as the ecu doesn't know what car it is in. Could be totally wrong though I just thought you plug the normal plugs in that came with the front cut and give the whole thing power and wire into fuse box and alternator.

I think Beasht is his name, has a mx73 with a 1jz that IIRC is auto and is in S.A.

Try Brenton at Fours'n'More in Pooraka.

They've done a lot of front cut work over a lot of years.
