get a JZX81 frontcut, bolt everything in from the frontcut.

Use the JZX crossmember and the engine drops right into place.

If you want to retain your 4-stud front hubs etc, weld some washers on the JZX crossmember to bring the bolt hole for the suspension arm down from 12mm to 10mm.

The wiring is pretty easy too, the last x70 I wired I made a simple adapter loom for the body plugs on the 1J's engine loom, then ran the alternator wires from the fusebox across to the drivers side rail (same as jzx81) and that was about it. You can modify the MX73 tacho drive board with two resistors and a capacitor to work with the 1J ignitor, or you can use a dodgey tacho booster.

Tacho info can be found on this page: http://masa-ya.jp/bike/jzx70g/tacho.html

This is the only pic you will probably need from that page:

The other option is to use the factory MX73 crossmember, and purchase some Bonneyville Mounts for ~$300.

the pedalbox in my GX70 has had some slight modifications to the top section where it bolts to the dash support bar etc. Because of this I'm guessing it's from a GX81 GT and not a GX71 GT.

If you get a manual JZX81 cut it will most likely be using a GX81 GT pedalbox, so will require modification to fit.

But it will require less modification than most other pedals (except X7 pedals obviously)
