OLD SKOOL cruise, Date 27th of this month

NEWCASTLE,

to go see all of the north coast guys,

meet up: thornleigh maccas,

time : 11am for a 1130 leave,

i will be speaking to the newy guys to get them to give me some nice places to go, maybe some directions

the plan is to get there in one peice, have something to eat as it would be near lunch time,

we will all grab a bite to eat sit down talk some shit,

take some photos, then cruise back,

1st gens only blake, no cressy, 28s are a exception,

what is a 1st gen?

what classifies a 1st gen,

i always thought TA22/RA25 TA/RA23 s where 1st gen

RA28s are 1 and a half gens, and so on,

so now can some one educate me,

Ibz,

Celica Generations are a touchy subject. For purists like me the TA22/TA27 and RA25 are the only first Generation models and the flat taillight TA22 holds just that little bit extra cred as it was the true first variant. The TA23 onwards have a completely different floorpan and were not a minor facelift. As such the TA23/RA23 and RA28 are all loosly refered to as the 1.5 gens. All 1970 - 1977 Celicas or the "Classic Celica's" are a good thing tho and should be held worthy of praise.

I have been hopeing for another Celica Cruise but newcastle 2 days in a row is a bit much for me, especially when I wil be seeing my boys for the first time in 2 weeks on the Saturday. They have to come first this time round sorry dude.

Toyota spilt the 22,25 27 and the 23,28, 53 as different Parts of the EPC. The front ends are completely different. What else do you want?
