    Default 18R-C Weber Setup

Hi everyone, not sure if this is on here already but I have a few questions I was wondering if people out ther could help me answer.

I have an 18R-C which I am wanting to convert to webers and at present can only find manifolds for a single DCOE or a dual DCN webers.

Does anyone know if you can get a manifold for dual DCOE's for the 18R-C

    Tamsey,

    Try this site: Pierce Manifolds

    http://www.webercarburetor.com/Catalogpages/toyota.htm

They are in California. They don't have a picture on their site of the dual 40mm manifold but they list it.

Need to think of linkage/cable whilst you are looking and asking.

I could also try sourcing a manifold and setting it up if you have no luck.

    Regards

    Rodger

    They sell all types.

Usually come up on ebay, $20-$40

Tweakit only have dual DCN weber manifolds. Not even sure what DC's are and how easy it is to get parts.

Redline do quite a lot of manifolds?

Either that or get something custom made up, it will be more expensive but a thousand times better than a cast off-the-shelf thing.

The only twin weber manifolds I have ever seen for the 18R/18R-C engine is the IDA downdraught type.
The other option is the factory twin SU style carbs off the 16R-B/18R-B/8R-C but they can be hard to find.
Can't you fit an 18RG on the basis that it was available in the GT model, which I believe is homologated?

Redline still SHOWS a twin side draught carb kit for the 8RC/18RC engines! They call it K767, it uses their 99003.853 intake manifold
    http://69.0.202.131/html/application_guide/TOYOTA.htm

Pierce Manifold confirms the product was available
    http://www.piercemanifolds.com/Catalogpages/toyota.htm

I have a wholesale pricing sheet (2004) that shows the MSRP for the K767 to be $1581.61, that pretty much means it WAS available as late as 2004.

edit - I've got an email into my old Weber contact to see if I can get just the intake... part number 99003.853. I'll post up once I know more......
