    Default MZ12 Soarer TV

    Well!

    I've come across a MZ12 soarer that has a TV in the dash. Most impressive! However it doesn't work

    The non workingness of said TV makes me sad in the pants, I wish to rectify this

    Can anyone offer me any info on the TV?! I have one pic showing the tacho / gear display...but other than that I have no idea what should be displayed!

    So, any pics of working dashes would be awesome! As well as any other info

    Cheers
    Wilbo

    Have you pressed all the buttons when moving?

    You shouldn't be watching TV when driving

    That's neat that you have that view in the MZ12. I presume you brought one

    The TV I have doesn't work...

    That pic is pretty well the only pic I can find of a working dash...

    I've tried pressing buttons and what not with no luck...

    Oh, I wish they had a dash like that for the Cressida... Then I could be happy again.

    Awesome find by Brett there!

    And the Four screens corresponds to the 4 buttons on the dash!
    1=TV,
    2=RPM, Gear, TEMS, ECT
    3=Econnomy??
    4=Trip??

    Now the next thing I need is where to find some idea about the expected TV input!

    I'll post the plug pinout later

    Cheers

    Brett you can't "print screen" videos, cause it's not a picture per se, it's a DirectX overlay, you'd need a special program like "snag-it" designed to capture videos or game footage.

    That's a great video too, some cool features

    thanks for the heads up.

    now we are just waiting for the english translation to come through of the video. at the start i think she is just talking about how luxurious and comfortable the car is. then they talk about how modern the engine is "DOHC-6"

    and then there is an owl

    Rough translation (and I said rough )

    First bit:
    "Come sit next to me in this beautiful car..."
    <on screen>Test Track<on screen>
    -Something about it being fast or something

    Second bit:
    -Something about the relationship between people and cars
    <on screen>New Media Scene in Soarer<onscrene>
    -come and have a look at the toyota electromultivision
    <on screen>Toyota Electromultivision<on screen>
    -first in the world
    <on screen>3.0 Great twincam <on screen>
    <on screen>no other car has the technology to compare to this one<on screen>

    And the 4 buttons for the TV on the dash
    *Drive
    *Trip
    *Maintenance
    *Set (TV?)

    TV remote:
    *Power
    *Channel
    *Volume
    *A->F Channel memory
    *TV / Video
    *Memory
    *Brightness
    *Contrast

    That is neat those pictures... of the EMV working. I didn't know it existed in that version of the Soarer.

    The TV part "should" (to my knowledge) not work because Japan is NTSC. You will need the TV module modified to accept PAL. All the UZZ3x suffer from some error which causes it to be inoperative which is repairable to my knowledge.
