    i don't understand why you don't buy the $5 or whatever flasher can designed for LED'S (ie, electronic flasher can, not the heated strip type).....

    cheap compared to the cost and effort of the LED conversion.

    probably because it's not $5... actually nowhere near it. when I get my car back from the paint shop this week I'll stuff around with the flasher can in there now, and see what's viable.

    sorry, these are $16.... thats not gonna break the bank..
    even if they are $40, still not much for teh bahling

    surely you can get cheaper elsewhere... do they have them at K-mart?

    Anyone what kinda total MCD is required for a brake light to be legal?
    Im trying to work out how many leds ill need.

    Im going to make a led array for my RA28 lights (like that Autosalon RA25).

    it's hard cos the LED7s are rated on axis, but bulbs aren't, so for it to be squeaky legal, need to find the ADR for lights and get it tested.... but answer is lots... not just mcd but also area...
    copying existing ones would be a good start

    cost isn't the issue. and no I don't think somewhere like K-mart would stock LED flasher cans. maybe Autobaaarn or SuperCrap.
