    they are totally different..

if you use a FWD one, you have to use a FWD rear water pump housing.. there is a little 10mmish steel pipe with 2 orings that link the housing and the head, rwd is one setup, fwd is another setup, 4ac is another setup!

the RWD 4age one is quite long.. see pic from one i built ages ago.. it's a smallport motor top to bottom but with RWD water pump/housings etc..

4age stuff is 100% interchangeable, but it all has to be FWD or RWD.. (aside from the pump itself)

You dont need a RWD GE one. Just use the FWD system as matty is saying.
See Witzl's explanation on how to do this here: http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=94

You may even be able to get away with not having to use the bigport rear water outlet. On the AE86 the smallport water outlet fits fine. It fouls on other cars like KE30s and the like though, so suck it and see...

Yeah i might have to do this in the end but i really dont want to have to cause the whole car is now up and running with the rwd setup and the only reason i need a new one is cause the thread around the water temp sensor was/is cracked. Because of this the sensor now wont screw in after i went to change it and it fell apart.

    Thanks

You could drill and tap a larger hole and then use an adaptor.
