Post count?

why is it that post counts are limited to only threads that a person starts?

ie, my post count is 2 as i type this, and will be 3 when i'm done, but i've replied to 6 threads, and made at least 10 posts...

post count is only incremented in tech & conversion and general car talk sections.

so from this i deduce that my post count hasn't gone up from this thread. that's fine.

i started reading the FAQ's about the forum setup, but got a bit bored, and figured i'd figure it out eventually.

Its not a new idea the R31 skyline club runs a similar thing where no posts are counted in the outhouse section and a few others. Works well and doesn'y promote whoring to increase your post count.
