if you have them use them. prop valve sounds good anyway so you can set things up if something dosent work

I was thinking the single pot would be better due to the much larger pad, but the opposing pistons would apply more force than the single piston and therefore not require as large a pad from what I can work out from your post above.
The rear R32 calipers look like like an easy fit at this stage (with a very similar bracket to the MA70), they also sit very nicely over the disc. Maybe I will use them afterall.

ok i am about to do this conversion and i just read the whole thread and it gave me a headache!
A summary of this thread would be good. Im wondering if there is anyone in brisbane who has done this conversion? Also im wanting to get the backing plates modified by someone who has done this before, anyone know what happened to linden?

Made some caliper adapters yesterday and have fitted the rear R32 Skyline GTS-T Calipers on MA70 Rotors with MA70 backing plates...
Caliper adapter is quite simple, 6mm steel plate to bolt R32/R33 Skyline Rear Caliper to MA70-Hilux adapter. This way I can still go for a MA70 Caliper later if these, for some reason, turn out shithouse.
does this brake conversion still apply to rn41 or any other diffs. looking for wider track.
cheers mat
Yep.
I have it on my RN4# Hilux diff. I'm using different calipers as per my post above yours, but the RN4# diff uses the same caliper adapters as the RN2# diff for the MA70 conversion.
cheers mate. now i just need to swap my rn27 for an rn41. anyone
thanks mat
Shouldnt cost you much to pick up a RN41 housing + axles, have mounts welded on and the center + brakes moved over from your RN25 diff.
It is a pain in the ass though

would this work on a 2008 Hilux, im sure the diff is fairly similar to the earlier models,
and if it did work could you then use the adapter plate for the MA70 calipers to mount a Brembo big brake kit or something similar(from a MA70 supra)???
cheers josh
I have considered this, and it should work.. But.. You will need something bigger on the front to match the bias.
so if i went for something like
front: 355x30mm disc with 6 pot calipers (this is a kit from the states that will fit a 2008 Hilux)
rear: 330x20mm with 4 pot calipers, (something around them sizes??)
and does anyone know how i could delete the stupid LPSV.
No idea..
You would also need to look at upgrading the master cylinder or you arent going to have a lot of pedal feel.
I suggest starting a new thread, and asking your questions in there, rather than this old thread.
Herus
Old thread, but what is the smallest size wheels you can fit over these brakes? I am hoping 15's? as std ones were 16".
Getting the RN2#/4# Hilux Diff to R32/33 Rear Twin-piston Caliper adapters made as I type this (finally), and will be for sale very soon for those wanting some. Price TBA.
These adapters allow the R32/33 Rear Twin-piston Caliper to fit over the MA70 Rear Discs and Backing Plates as per my below post.
