DISCLAIMER: any of these measurements could be wrong.

i got bored, so i measured a front spring too.

both pictures show the springs upside down, as they sit nicely on their ground edges. In the car the ground egde goes at the top.

FRONT:

tapered spring, not constant taper.

rate = 100lb/in (1.78579673 kg/mm) according to my spring makers measurements

free length ~370mm

wire diameter = 11mm (this is including paint, so possibly a bit less)

number of active coils = 4 (my guess)

inside diameter near bottom ~114mm

inside diameter at top = 93mm




REAR:

no taper

rate = 110lb/in (1.96437641 kg/mm) (according to my spring makers measurements)

free height ~340mm

wire diameter = 11mm

number of active coils = 4 (my guess)

outside coil diameter ~ 131mm (which could change when compressed)
inside coil diameter ~ 112mm (which could change when compressed)
