okay, the 3SGE is ready to come out, just need to get the axles out of the gearbox and remove some suspension components.

the only things i have left to do with the V6 is find two o2 sensors, and an oil sender, as the orginal one is broken. the o2 sensors werent supplied.

from what ive read, i can re-use the 4-wire 3SGE sensor in the 2-wire setup on the V6, if i dodgy up the plugs. apparently it will work if the heater wires arent connected. thoughts?

so this leaves me with one more to find. does anyone have a spare 2-wire or 4-wire o2 sensor?

i already went to pick and payless but there wasnt much there i could get to easily, or that was the right type. seems toyota o2 sensors are different shaped to every other make of car they have there...

also i beleive i can reuse the 3SGE oil sender too, so thats no drama, as long as it fits.

Pretty sure I have a spare 4 wire sensor from my old 3S if that would do the job

This is awesome! exhaust note shall be heavenly when driving. Not sure on this one, but you are using the mr2 e153 gearbox correct? I've heard this has shorter gear ratios in comparison to the camry e153, should make it quite fun to drive if so

    update!

today i finally got the 3SGE out.

    started at 11 am

this involved having to buy a 32mm deep socket, which was great for the passenger side axel nut, but as it tuned out the driver side was a 30mm. even had a different diameter thread on the axel. how intensely irritating!

anyway got the hubs off, axels (eventually yanked) out of the box, and the crossmember down.

after unbolting the mounts, the motor was ready to drop! (to get from taking the wheels off to this stage took about 8 hours, since this is all new to me)

and with alot of shoving about it was down on the ground, with no collateral damage.

and with the crane holding the car up,

    dragged the fucker away

and the obligatory shots! at this point it was 10.30pm

    me

Ahahahahaha, took the words right outta my mouth.

Brilliant work so far. Although an observation, did you have the front wheel chocked at all?
