    Default Interstate Club Renewals

I'm aware my club membership is coming up for renewal, and will happily throw in another $40 to support the club and particularly the forums, given my interstate location. I assume I'll be notified by mail, and if so, I also assume I can pay online for another term? Yet another assumption - my membership is for a full 12 months, regardless of my initial joining date, not a set calander date?

Is it possibly to have the membership list add to this website too please, I used it often when trying to work out who to deal with, on Toymods - will always try to support a club member who has put their money where their mouth is over someone who hasn't?!

I was always told that all membership is due in the new year - basically you buy membership till the end of the calendar year, not till the end of 12 months

If you view someones public profile, at the bottom of it has their membership number if they are a member.

Memberships are actually until the end of January each year.
But we accept payments for the following year anytime from about October onwards.

Clint, I've sent you an email with regards to renewing.

There will be a members list on the new forums. The list on the old web site is still kept up to date.

The problem at the moment is setting up a method to do this with the new info management system for the web site rather than having the old one ported into the new site.

There is a renewal form link under the "Membership" tab at the top of the page (its the wrong year, but simply cross that out & change it until we have a chance to update it).
It'll need to be signed & posted to us via the usual address.
Include a cheque or money order made out to "Toymods Car Club Inc"

Yer I was assuming that i would get a membership renewal form in the mail when it came time for my membership to be renewed...

Im sure i have been a member now for more than a year...does that mean i just pay my membership in january every year?

    Thanks

    Yes, due now.
We don't send out membership renewals/reminders. It'd be another expense that we have to add onto your membership cost. You already have to send it back.
Plus we already have to post out notices for the AGM in February (coming soon).

I'm sure we can get renewal forms included in the mail out for the AGM to our interstate members.

They can send them in along with their proxy nomination forms for the Board Elections at the AGM.

guys im just filling out my membership now.. however couple of points -

    1. can i electronically send this $50 instead of money/order cheque? or is that because memberships are being handled differently for association tax exemption and has to be done that way for accountability? ive donated electronically before i just thought maybe it could be done the same way.

    2. the referees bit. do i have to run around and find two members to sign this before i scan and email it back to you? it just seems like a fair bit of work thats all. i understand the reason for accountability and keeping wookies out which is fair enough but to be honest the only club member ive met is peewee. do you guys fill this out or do i have to?

cheers - id just like to make it as easy as possible for me to do.

not 100% sure but i think you just send it in if you dont know any club members, not 100% sure as im not a club member(yet) but i was looking into it and from memory you just send it in if you dont know anyone

Sorry, but you can't email back a copy. We need the signed original.

I can arrange a direct deposit.

Include a note with your form when you send it & I will use the details on the form to contact you to arrange this.
Note that your membership won't start until we receive the payment & I've checked the account.
I'd prefer to get a cheque or money order though. There is then a paper copy of the transaction rather than just an internet lookup. Course you could always risk sticking cash in the mail, but we couldn't accept responsibility if it goes missing.

I'm not 100% sure about the 2 referees.
It is certainly more preferable. Ask Peewee about other members. There's certainly more than a few in WA & who are all active on these forums.

thanks Steve if you could arrange a direct deposit thatd be awesome as ill send it this morning then.

ill also fill out the form and scan it and email it to you first so you have my details to go with for now, but ill still post the original to you when i get a couple of ref's sigs.

if you can give us the account number for the DD and the email youd like me to send the scanned copy back to you on would be cool.
